AN-54W

ORCOFILM® AN-54W is a heat-sealable metalized polyvinyl fluoride film reinforced on one side with nylon yarns. ORCOFILM® AN-54W is a strong, durable insulation covering film used in fabrication of thermal/acoustic aircraft insulation blankets. This film meets the NASA-KSC requirements for plastic films for spacecraft packaging and other spacecraft ground handling needs.

FABRICATION AND REPAIR METHODS
Method Recommendations 
Heat Sealing
Can be heat sealed yarn-side to yarn-side by impulse, ultrasonic and hand iron methods. Heat setting: 300°F - 350°F (150°C - 175°C)
 
Taping
Orcotape® OT-157TN is recommended for sealing, local reinforcement and repairs.
