Aluminum foil tape is used for vapor sealing on reinforced fiberglass and mineral thermal insulation. Other uses include seaming HVAC systems, and underground cables as well as sealing automotive air bags.

Aluminum foil tape excels on irregular and curved surfaces, and is resistant to water and vapor transmission. The aluminum backing reflects heat and stays adhesive from -60 to 600 degrees Fahrenheit.
